My Lost Wallet

Just in case anyone ever finds my wallet and happens to google me, I am posting here to say.. Keep anything in it, I just want the wallet back. It was my stepdad's who passed away 10 years ago. (though I would like my stash of concert ticket stubs as well).

The album “Swim” coming soon!

Howdy folks, just wanted to post up a quick item here and let it be known that my album of brooding indie rock tunes will be released in July. I Don’t have an exact date yet, still some finalization going on with it (mixing, “mastering” (cause you know, what exactly IS mastering in this age of digital distribution?) ).

In a lot of ways this record was being written for the past three years. More in a metaphorical sense, i didn't actually start writing the parts until October, 2010. I had a lot of “focus” time while living in the in the hills of West Virginia. Time to think, for introspection and the philosophy of cause and effect. What does that mean? I dont know, im just a vague artist with 50 minutes of half thought/wholly felt emotions and instrumental intentions.

Having said all that, I also wanted to share this here music video I did for an acoustic version of the song titled “Desperation” which is a track from the album.



P.S. About the name “Swim”;

I chose this name because of some deep thought i was having about the human condition and all that. If you were stranded out in the middle of the ocean, alone, with no reason to believe there was any help on the way. Would you swim? Or would you just sink on down into the watery depths of the sea? So really, the album’s name is an answer to that multiple choice question. It is just in our nature to swim, and this is me swimming.

PSA - The Verizon iPhone

I just wanted to put this out there in the world for my fellow tech enthusiasts and technologically challenged alike.

IF VERIZON GETS THE IPHONE, YOU WILL NOT (that's 'NOT') BE ABLE TO USE YOUR AT&T IPHONE AND JUST "SWITCH OVER".

So if you or someone you know has said "as soon as verizon gets the iPhone, I'm switching." then be prepared to BUY A NEW ONE!

I can't say this and be 100% sure about it, I am however 95% sure. Hey, maybe verizon will offer a trade in program? Or maybe they'll magically switch to the same cellular tech used by the current iPhone (yeah, right).

New Year, Old Post

Well hello there people of the future! I am contacting you from the year 2011 to relate an old post of mine from 2005. I was looking thru some of my old blog posts and came across this nugget of wonderosity (not a real word). First a little backstory..

My old band played a show at a venue for the first time in a year or so and this is the response we got:

We got setup on-stage and all that mess. and let me tell ya this. When we first got to the club and went in, i could tell right from the first glance around the room that the current crowd would either hate us or think "eh.. they are alright". New age punks are no punks at all! Im not sure half of them knew what the word Anarchy means. You know, the punk motto?! Fine, whatever...

It has been almost a year since we last played. And the announcer over the PA said that. Which leads me to the most honest response to my music i have ever had.

Right before the last song.

Announcer: "Maybe they will come back and play in a year..."

Anonymous Moron: "Make it TWO!"

HAHAHAHA! now that is funny! Seriously...

Down to the dirty details -

The morons that didnt like us (which is fine by me, i would prefer if they did not show up to my shows:). Were actually in the next band after us!

This is a list of complaints that i have compiled that the Moron band had against us.

1. "The bass player isnt good, he thinks he is the shit."
2. "The singer isnt good, but he acts like he is."
3. "The drummer sucks, but he pretends to be good."
4. "The guitar player is flashy and he sucks"

I just happened to read that and I found it to be hilarious, i will probably be the only one... I actually remember over-hearing the conversation about the guitar player being flashy. I don't think anyone has ever thought i was a FLASHY guitar player?! Well, except for that guy...

Anyway, I guess i am done regurgitating bloggings, fare well!

Last Post for 2010

Well, i don't really have much to say other than have a happy and safe new year's eve. I am looking forward to 2011 quite a bit, in fact, i am probably more enthused about this next year than i have been in several! I've got an album worth of tunes that'll be coming out sometime in the next few months as well as some other ideas that i will surely divulge eventually.
